Imagine someone yelling at you in a foreign language,
jerking you by a choking or pinching collar around your
neck, and getting impatient with you when you don't
understand what they want from you. Your dog doesn't
understand English, and he has no clue what you want
from him unless you show him in a calm manner, and
reward and praise him when he comes closer to doing
what you desire.

RATES:
 | Private lessons - | |
| $65 per hour, first lesson 1 1/2 hour minimum ($100). Each additional quarter hour will be $16. Four lesson package, $265. |

| mile fee will apply if the distance is further than 25 miles one way from my home. |

| per day, minimum 1 week. Turn over lesson of 1 1/2 hours and follow up phone consultations included. |

This wonderful positive reward method was first used to train
marine mammals. Dogs learn to associate the sound of a
clicker with a reward, usually food. Then they "learn how to
learn". They will try to figure out what they were doing when
you last clicked, and they will offer all kinds of behaviors in
order to get you to click and treat them again. You can quickly
and easily teach new and desired behaviors, and it is a fun
way to work with your dog. You will be amazed by how easily
he can pick up new skills. Best of all, it is fun for both of you.
I can show you how to use this method to teach your dog basic
manners, tricks, or change unwanted behaviors. I can come to
your home for private lessons, or board your dog in my home
for a total training environment. The first private lesson will
include a demonstration of techniques for all basic
commands, or we can just concentrate on one problem area
such as pulling on leash or not coming when called.
BOARD TRAINING
Your dog boards with me and I work with him in multiple formal
and informal sessions all through the day. We can work on
just one or two problem behaviors, or all the basic commands.
The program is individualized for you and your dog. Board
training can introduce most basic commands in 10 - 14 days.
Establishing the basics of housebreaking puppies will usually
require at least 2 weeks. At the end of a board training stay, we
will have a turn over lesson of 1 1/2 hours to show you all the
things your dog has been learning, and teach you how to work
with him and continue his education.
